Freedom to Create

A vibrant performer wears an elaborate costume inspired by fantasy and cultural motifs. Their face is painted blue with intricate white markings, and they wear a beaded headdress adorned with red, gold, and turquoise details, featuring curved horn-like structures.

As home to one of the first gay rights organizations in the world, Washington, DC has long been central to LGBTQ+ arts, culture, intelligentsia, and civil rights. In 2025 we will commemorate 50 years of an official Pride celebration in the USA’s capital, and the city offers an impressive collection of public art, museums, tours, and cultural events that celebrate this rich history.

From award winning exhibits to family-friendly activities, DC will leave WorldPride attendees with a revitalized sense of Pride in who we are as a global community.
