haus of bambi: A Radical PRIDE
April 17
The Line DC
1770 Euclid Street Northwest
Washington, DC 20009
Brought to you by Transformer
Transformer and haus of bambi are teaming up for the haus’ first contemporary art exhibition, showcasing the collective’s extensive multidisciplinary creativity in conjunction with World Pride in DC. Building on our commitment to advance new & best contemporary visual art practices, connect artists to new opportunities, and elevate a broad range of artistic voices, these outstanding DC-based artists will bring a refreshed aesthetic to the Champlain Street Lobby that showcases the cultural heft of DC’s artistic LGBTQ+ community. As DC’s leading contemporary arts organization supporting emerging artists, we recognize that their stimulating ideas, imagination, and innovation help drive cultural production and societal advancement.
haus of bambi: A Radical PRIDE will pull from the breadth of talent within haus of bambi and utilize photos, ephemera, sculpture, and installation to showcase the haus’ creations of identity and community that remind us that Pride extends beyond June. Transformer grows local and global opportunities and networks for DC artists, just as The Line does for artists in all of their home cities. We promote the rich diversity of stand out emerging artists & arts leaders of the cities we serve. Together, we are creating a stellar lobby installation that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community, Washington, DC, and the artists that make this city an artistic powerhouse.
haus of bambi: A Radical Pride opens Saturday May 17th with an opening cocktail reception at The Line DC.
