May 17 – June 8, 2025

Thank you to every member of our global LGBTQ+ community for helping make WorldPride Washington, DC 2025 a celebration of freedom, resilience, and joy. We first learned that we would play host to this incredible gathering in November of 2022. The two and half years since then have brought together scores of new friends, colleagues, and allies – the true Fabric of Freedom that defines our Pride movement.
We reminded the world that we are stronger together, and we are not going anywhere.
Thank you to every volunteer, partner, advocate, and community member who helped create this beautiful Fabric of Freedom.
See you for Capital Pride 2026, June 8-June 14, and let’s not forget to #HavePride365!
THE FABRIC OF FREEDOM
Throughout history, people have used fabrics as expressive symbols, to communicate identities, and as forms of resistance. While the LGBTQ+ community faces growing challenges both in the United States and worldwide from those seeking to divide rather than unite, it’s the fabric of our community — through our rich cultures, diverse identities, and backgrounds — that will guide us forward towards a better future.
