Audiences rave about Lesbo Solo!

“This was my first lesbian history lesson, and I want everyone to see it.”
“As always charming, goofy and artful, Terry tells her personal tale and the story of the gay rights movement. Funny and surprisingly touching.”

It’s 1963. Terry’s adored high school teacher is threatened with being fired over rumors that she’s a lesbian. Terry doesn’t even know what a lesbian is!

The play details Terry’s convoluted and liberating coming-out-story as she both witnesses and creates gay history from the 60s to the present. In LESBO SOLO, Terry shows the painful past of the lesbian community, how incredibly far we have come — and how much fun people have had along the way.

LESBO SOLO is a powerful reminder, in today’s political environment, of what we stand to lose by going backwards.
