May 30 at 7:30 pm – June 1 at 9:00 pm
Studio Theatre
1501 14th Street Northwest
Washington, DC 20005
Brought to you by Washington Improvisational Theater Co.
Improv Pride features Washington Improv Theater’s homegrown improv talent from the DMV! This weekend’s special line-up features:
—The Cookout: A special Black Pride edition of The Cookout, our recurring celebration of Black improv in the DMV.
—Ask Me Anything: From fearless advocates to visionary leaders, join us as we shine our spotlight on a series of noteworthy and inspiring LGBTQ leaders. Each guest will share stories and insights through a candid Q&A session. From there, a cast of improv comedians will use that material as inspiration for their performance.
—Danielle She/Her: Danielle Steger presents her one-woman sketch show about her identity as a recovering alcoholic and a transgender woman. As a writer, director, and performer, Danielle is a four-time award winner at the Capital Fringe Festival.
The weekend also includes free improv workshops, which are registering at witdc.org/improvforall
