The Capital Pride Alliance (CPA) will partner with many leading organizations in the field of Human Rights for the WorldPride DC 2025 Human Rights Conference, including the U.S. State Department, the Human Rights Campaign, GLAA-Fighting for LGBTQ Equality, and the Victory Fund. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from fellow conference members, and they will also participate in discussions with leaders in the field who impact decisions at the highest levels of U.S. government.
By focusing on Inclusion, Diversity, and Accessibility, WorldPride DC 2025 aims to center the voices of those most marginalizable in our LGBTQ+ community. The Human Rights Conference, in partnership with the Center for Black Equity and the Capital Pride Alliance’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee, will include opportunities to participate in workshops highlighting queer history, erasure/visibility, and issues that greatly impact our global community. To ensure that this conference is both relevant and resourceful, CPA will look to partner with embassies, local/national/international leaders, and enlist the assistance of InterPride leadership and members to develop a well-rounded program that is sure to inspire tangible change.
The WorldPride 2025 Human Rights Conference will take place in conjunction with the 34th Annual DC Black Pride celebration.
