Gay for DC Theatre

May 16 – June 7

Gay For #DCTheatre: a theatre micro-festival featuring LGBTQ+-themed productions and a signature event. Following the model of success established during Theatre Week, we will collectively promote (under a festival umbrella) 12+ productions at theatres across the DMV during the three weeks of World Pride. Shows include a world premiere play from Tarrell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight) at Arena Stage, Hedwig and the Angry Inch at Signature Theatre, The Inheritance at Ford’s Theatre, and musicals, cabaret, readings, and classics. Specially-priced tickets will be available with a World Pride-exclusive code and designated “Pride Nights” will be highlighted. We will launch the festival with a special event (tentative location: Studio Theatre in the heart of Logan Circle) to celebrate our #DCTheatre pride.
