On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Pride celebrations in Washington DC and WorldPride, 2025, The Danish Embassy presents a screening of the queer love story ‘SAUNA’.
The film, officially selected for Sundance Film Festival 2025, is a queer love story set in Copenhagen’s queer community about a gay man falling in love with a transgender man.
‘SAUNA’ is Danish Director Mathias Broe’s feature debut. Indiewire called the film: ‘A Steamy Cis-Trans Love Story that authentically speaks to the trans experience, offering a unique yet relevant love story that treats the complexities of queer desire with nuance and compassion.
