Get ready to Dance! Join the Stampede to the most all-inclusive gay country dance event in ASGRA history. Enjoy 28 hours of dance activities that will keep you moving in the final week of the Washington DC World Pride 2025 celebration on June 4, 5, & 6. Join us as we trace American community dance history in its various forms including circle, square, contra, 2-step, line dance and waltz. All dances will be taught, either as we dance or in daytime workshop settings. We are offering 4 dances over 3 nights with 2 full days of dance workshops to prime or lift your dance skills and repertoire. The main event each night will focus on different community dance styles with live musical performances and dance calling. The early warm-up periods and evening band breaks will include waltz, Texas two-step, line dance and more. We’ll have great LGBTQIA+ musicians, callers, and instructors, complemented by a powerful sound system and expansive dance floor. These elements will lift your spirit with music and movement in a welcoming space focused on celebrating diversity, inclusion and accessibility.
