This live Panel Discussion, hosted by Miss Trans Global 2020, Mela Habijan, explores how Asian trans people are affected by the political shifts targeting T’s and Q’s and consequently, how can we as a community move forward given the threats of social violence and identity erasure. This global panel will engage queer researchers and activists domestically and abroad representing perspectives from Thailand and the Philippines. We aim to showcase how Asian trans people thrive globally in their respective fields, solidify visibility, and promote trans excellence.
