In partnership with the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQIA Affairs, Story District is celebrating in World Pride in a big way. This marks 15 years of Out/Spoken, Story District’s annual showcase of LGBTQ+ voices through true, personal storytelling. Hosted by comedian and storyteller Anthony Oakes, this year’s show features seven storytellers sharing true stories about love, fear, growth, and everything in between. Some stories will make you laugh. Some will leave you thinking. Every one of them will remind you what it means to be human. D.C.’s Different Drummers will open and close the show with live music that sets the tone and brings the house together.
