Paint the Town With Pride

Visitors to WorldPride DC will be in awe when they discover the city’s enthusiasm in decorating for Pride month. Encompassing Washington, DC and the surrounding regions, Paint the Town with Pride is a collective campaign that promotes the colorful decoration of businesses, homes, and public spaces in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. WorldPride attendees will have free access to a Paint the Town Virtual map, highlighting the inspiring and larger-than-life installations throughout the area that are available to visit.

Embassy Open Houses

in Welcome

With over 175 embassies, ambassadorial residences, and international cultural centers, Washington, DC is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. The Capital Pride Alliance is excited to curate, in partnership with leading embassies, cultural sites, and the Delegation to the European Union to the United States, a celebratory week of events, programming, and performances in conjunction with WorldPride DC 2025. WorldPride attendees will be able to choose from a wide array of cultural experiences, and international visitors may take advantage of the many resources our partner embassies will make available to their respective constituents. Our special partnership with our embassies will allow for a one-of-a-kind experience with our WorldPride Embassy Open House events. This project will allow people from around the world to visit their “home” embassies for traditional hospitality and networking. We will also work closely with organizations to provide welcoming experiences for those who are visiting from nations that do not recognize LGBTQ+ rights.

InterPride Regional Receptions

in Welcome

We welcome all participants to meet and greet members and visitors of their region, to build connections, and to celebrate with one another. This opportunity will allow participants to learn about all the exciting events/activities the week has to offer, sample world-class food and drinks, and start the week off with new friends. The Capital Pride Alliance will invite InterPride Global Advisory Council members to set up space to welcome their regional members and meet prospective new members to discuss the benefits of joining InterPride. We will coordinate with Embassy partners to identify potential hosts within each related region.
